Once again in 2024, Triathlon Ontario’s KITCan series of kids’ triathlons will be running races in Oakville, Mississauga, and Milton.
Registration opens Friday, February 16.
Race dates are final for the 2024 triathlon season, and Triathlon Ontario is happy to announce a full schedule – including three Kids In Triathlon – “KITCan” races.
2024 Race dates are:
- Sunday June 30 in Oakville;
- Sunday July 14 in Mississauga; and,
- Sunday August 4 in Milton.
Since 2018 Triathlon Ontario has been bringing these races to kids age 3-11. Races are a great introduction to the sport of triathlon, featuring a pool swim and traffic-free courses for biking and running.
Besides a fun, active day and some physical activity, participants leave with a T-shirt as well as a finisher’s medal featuring our young beaver mascot, KIT either swimming, biking, or running. Kids can collect all 3 in a typical year.
Each race features a Family Fun Zone with inflatable bouncy activities, face painting, balloon animals, local club displays, and more.

Triathlon Ontario is the recognized governing body for the sport of Triathlon in Ontario. Our mission is to provide leadership and governance for safe, fair, and fun triathlon in Ontario.
Among a calendar of over 50 sanctioned races and hundreds of training activities a year, kids’ races are a high priority. Races for kids and youth introduce the sport to new people, provide a start for future Olympians, and promote physical fitness and a healthy lifestyle.
